2. Matthew 9:12-13, NLT
Main Points:
- God blesses those who "know" that they need Him!
- The book of Matthew was written to reveal that Jesus was the Savior of the World, the Messiah, the fulfillment of the Law and the Prophets. This letter in large part was written to show the Jews that they needed to make a change! Unfortunately for them, at this time, many of the Jews didn’t recognize that they needed to change!
- Both John the Baptist and Jesus' primary message was: YOU NEED TO CHANGE (Matthew 3:1, Matthew 4:17)!
- DO YOU KNOW THAT YOU NEED TO CHANGE?
- Jesus came for people who need Him, not for those who think that they've got it together (Matthew 9:12-13).
- You can only change through a relationship with Him. Every other option or alternative available will fall miserably short!
